You can have one pers.action only on any day.  You can have multiple additional actions or IT 302 on one day.  These add.actions are shown in the box at the bottom of IT 1.

Org re-assignment should only be done through PA40 because there would be usually other infotypes required to be changed - e.g., IT7, IT 8, etc.

Following steps are required to correct the org re-assignment:

1. In PA40:

1.1 On the initial screen, select the pers.action type that needs to be corrected.  Enter the correct start date for the action.

You may or not enter the new pers.area, EG, ESG.

Execute (or press PF8 key).

1.2 IT 0 displays.  Enter any change as required.  Press enter, till you get the message 'Save entry'.

Press save.

1.3 IT 1 displays:  Again enter changes, press enter. It will also display a message saying that a record has been delimited.  Press save.

1.4 Depending on the infogroup for the pers.action type, there may be other infotypes displayed for change.  Change, press enter and save.

1.5. Continue till PA40 initial screen appears.  Go to Display (or PA20)

2. PA20 Display employee data:  In the overview for each infotype changed above, you can see the record with wrong start date as well as one with the correct start date.  Go to PA30.

3. PA30: Maintain employee data:

3.1  Go to overview of IT 0:  Select the record with the wrong start date.  Select delete.  Delete IT 0 screen appears.  Press delete again.  The record is deleted.

3.2 Continue as in 3.1 to delete the IT 1 with wrong start date.

3.3 Continue as in 3.1 for other infotypes - to delete the records with wrong start date.

4.PA20:  In the overview for each infotype changed above, you can now see the records with the correct start date.

Hope this helps.
