Yes, You can generate a Datasource for each planning area in APO. Datasource extraction needs characteristics and key figures implying this will work for DP and SNP. If PP/DS and TP/VS order ATP Categories / ATP categories are assigned to any Key Figure in Planning Area, these can be extracted as well.
The available options to extract Order series data are based on aggregates of planning area - 9AMALO (Product-location), 9AMALA (Product- T-Lane), 9AMARE (Product-Resource) etc.
It is advisable to finalize a planning area and then generate Data Source and Infocube from Planning Area using Txn "SAPAPO/SDP_EXTR". You can then always edit what characteristics are used for selection and what key figures should be displayed.
